Gary James Pond
Mr. Pond has extensive general management experience with
a number of major U.S. medical device and pharmaceutical
companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Schering-Plough
and Boston Scientific.
Before starting up Inter-Med, he was
President and COO of Surgitek, Inc., a urology and
gastroenterology medical device manufacturer and direct
marketing company. In addition, Mr. Pond has successfully
managed a number of medical start-up and turn-around
companies. He is an expert in product development and
medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations,
including manufacturing engineering, quality control and
regulatory affairs.
Mr. Pond has traveled extensivelythroughout the P.R.C.
setting up manufacturing and JV operations.
He is extremely well qualified in Chinese international
business transactions.
Mr. Pond graduated from Michigan State
University in 1974 with a B.A. in operations management.
